Meet some more Extraordinary Creators, Rebecca Fox and Rebecca Jackson-Artis, the creator-performers of The Rebecca Show: What If I\’m The Becky?

In The Rebecca Show, Fox and Jackson-Artis explore moments from Biblical times to today in which people realize the situations they thought were fine are, in fact, NOT FINE. Some even discover that they themselves are NOT FINE. Subjects in the sketches range from the brutality of motherhood, exploitation in sports, regrets in old age, and the changing nature of friendships.

These two Rebeccas met during the auditions for WTF\’s Occupy The Stage in 2018 and forged a relationship that resulted in The Rebecca Show which they produced at The PIT in Chapel Hill followed by a performance at WTFringe 2019. They share their story here:

Most recently, The Rebecca Show received a run at NYC Sketchfest in October. But that\’s not all….The Rebecca Show was a recipient of the Manbites Dog project grant! So if you haven\’t seen this brilliant sketch comedy show yet, you\’ll get a chance in 2020!

\"Working

Working with the Rebeccas was exceptionally fun. The two Rebeccas are remarkably different, but with similar comedy backgrounds which allowed us to explore and define ‘Rebecca-ness’ in a profound (and hilarious) way. It helped that they had way more experience being Rebeccas than I did. Do. Did.” – Lisa Jolley, Director of The Rebecca Show
