Managing Director – Hannah Williams
Hannah Williams (she/her) is the Managing Director of Women\’s Theatre Festival. With WTF, she can be found producing, program managing, and occasionally directing. Hannah proudly serves as producer of the talk show Theatre\’s Not Dead! with Keyanna Alexander, and she serves as producer for the podcast version of TND as well as The Momversations Podcast. Hannah has been involved in the production the #BWAYWorldRecord Project with RYCO Theatricals and THE MAD ONES LAB with Kerrigan-Lowdermilk. She currently lives in Asheville, NC, where she directs at theaters from Hendersonville, NC, to Knoxville, TN locally as well as traveling to direct at other regional houses. Previous directing work includes A Midsummer Night\’s Dream for Montford Park Players; Romeo and Juliet with Samuel-Lancaster Productions; Love and Information by Carol Churchill for WTVirtualFringe 2020; The Trojan Women by Euripides for Montford Park Players; The History of the Devil by Clive Barker with Brainchild Creative; and assistant directing Green Day’s American Idiot with Encore Theatrical Company. She has also been involved in the new play development process for Our Black Death by Lindsay Carpenter, Gertie and Alice by the Sea by Caridad Svich, and an adaptation of Miller and Tysen\’s Fugitive Songs, all with artists in residence. Hannah holds a BFA in Musical Theatre from Millikin University. Her performance work includes Sibella in A Gentleman’s Guide to Love and Murder (Parkway Playhouse), Percy in The Spitfire Grill (Dunes Summer Theatre), and Hilda in Plain and Fancy (The Round Barn Theatre). Hannah focuses on enforcing safe spaces in her practice with the goal of creating brave spaces.
