Following incredibly successful, all-virtual festivals with the Summer Festival in July 2020 and Occupy the Stage in November 2020, Festival 21 intends to embrace the innovative and experimental use of virtual platforms; prioritize accessibility; and create conversations furthering equity and justice in theatre communities and beyond. The 14 plays produced and performed this July will take the audience from the hallowed halls of a historical museum to an immersive spoken word experience, from teletherapy to using AI to communicate with a deceased loved one.
